Chai Apple Multigrain Pancakes #appleweek

This post is sponsored on behalf of #appleweek. Our generous sponsors, Swiss Diamond, Envy Apples, Imperial Sugar, Nordic Ware, Rodelle Vanilla, Flahavan's Irish Oatmeal, Nairn's and The Spice House have provided us with products for recipe creation and a giveaway for our readers. As always, all opinions are my own.

It’s the last week of Apple Week and I’m making breakfast again!

I decided to make an apple-icious take on my favorite multigrain pancakes!  The pancakes are soft and bursting with flavor and an absolute homerun!  Even Hubs, who tolerates frequent pancakes because the kids request them all the time, got excited about these pancakes – so that’s really saying something!

This fabulous recipe showcases even more of the wonderful Apple Week sponsors! Let’s take a look!

Herby Ginger Apple Compote #appleweek

This post is sponsored on behalf of #appleweek. Our generous sponsors, Swiss Diamond, Envy Apples, Imperial Sugar, Nordic Ware, Rodelle Vanilla, Flahavan's Irish Oatmeal, Nairn's and The Spice House have provided us with products for recipe creation and a giveaway for our readers. As always, all opinions are my own.

Each year during apple week, I challenge myself to make at least 1 savory apple recipe.  And without fail, I end up pairing apples with pork!  The flavors just go so well together!

Today’s recipe is sponsored by Swiss Diamond Cookware.

Swiss Diamond was an amazingly generous sponsor, sending me one of their lidded nonstick sauté pans.

You guys.

This pan is a work horse.  Completely not stick AND it can go in the oven!! Say What?!?

So you see why I had to make pork for apple week!

Cold Apple Cider with Caramel Infused Rum #appleweek

This post is sponsored in conjunction with AppleWeek . I received product samples from sponsor companies to aid in the creation of the AppleWeek recipes. All opinions are mine alone.

Ready for more apple goodness?

Today’s recipe is sponsored by Envy Apples and let me tell you – they are delicious – a definite contender for my new favorite apple!  I just love apples that are crisp and sweet and Envy apples certainly fit the bill.

For today’s recipe, those gorgeous apples were used as a garnish in a spiked apple cider!  Note that you can totally make these without the rum, as well!  When spud saw my pretty drink, he asked for some as well, so I whisked the caramel sauce directly into the cider and garnished just like the adult beverage!

Pumpkin week just finished up, so it’s time to shift our focus to another fall favorite: Apples!!  Check out all the amazing details below for sponsor information, the fabulous prize pack, and the enter the giveaway!

Today’s recipe is sponsored by NordicWare!

NordicWare sent this adorable Apple Slice Cakelet Pan so I could try out a yummy apple recipe!

I ended up adapting the recipe included on the pan a bit to make some apple muffins to take to work with me as a little treat for my co-workers!

I’m always a little worried when I use a pan I can’t line with parchment, but the non-stick feature on the cakelet pan is no joke!  When sprayed with cooking spray, I had absolutely no sticking and the design imprinted perfectly!

Ham & Cheese Stuffed Pumpkin Rolls #pumpkinweek

*Disclosure: I received product to sample from Eggland's Best.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It’s the last day of pumpkin week and I saved the best for last!

Today’s recipe is sponsored by Eggland’s Best

The inspiration for this recipe came from a video I saw on Facebook.  I was super intrigued by pumpkin shaped rolls and decided to make them!

Then I realized that the recipe was for sweet rolls and I wasn’t super impressed with the filling.  So I decided to add cinnamon and sugar and make it most frosting-like.

Paleo Banana Cake (Gluten-Free) #FantasticalFoodFight #FoodNFlix

Today’s recipe is doing double duty and pulls form three different inspirations.

First, it’s this month’s Fantastical Food Fight with the theme of bananas!  If one lives on the Kentucky/Tennessee border there is even an annual banana festival this weekend!  So, I knew I had to make something with bananas – definitely a dessert, I thought.

Second, I volunteered to bake treats for Dude’s class.  One of Dude’s classmates is gluten sensitive, so I always try to be considerate of that.  I thought that these treats would be the perfect way to use bananas in a recipe.

Third, this September is the 9th anniversary of Food n Flix and to celebrate, we could watch any of the previously chosen movies to use as inspiration.  I went on the hunt for something I hadn’t seen, that seemed interesting, and that I could find on Netflix or Amazon Prime.  And that’s how I stumbled upon Toast.

Creamy Pumpkin Fiesta Chicken Soup #pumpkinweek

*Disclosure: I received product to sample from Cabot Cheese.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Are you ready for another great pumpkin recipe?

Today’s recipe is sponsored by Cabot Cheese.

I’ve worked with Cabot in the past and they always have a wonderful selection of cheeses and all thing dairy!

Connect with them here:

Today I decided to go the savory route.

Have you ever noticed that, even when pumpkin is being used as a savory ingredient (especially in soup) that cinnamon and sugar still end up being involved?

I can’t handle stuff like that – it is just too much for my palate to comprehend!

Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls #pumpkinweek

*Disclosure: I received product to sample from Dixie Crystals.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Today’s delicious recipe is sponsored by Dixie Crystals

Dixie Crystals is always a generous sponsor, so with lots of sugar on hand, I couldn’t not bake something!  So, when my boss asked for volunteers to bring breakfast to our beginning of the year meetings, I jumped on the opportunity!

This also, sadly, means that I have some rushed on-the-way-out-the-door and cell phone pictures of the finished product, but suffice to say that the still-warm pumpkin cinnamon rolls were enough for some co-workers to declare me a hero for bringing them!

These rolls have two baking options, depending on your level of morning perkiness.

You may want to get up early and make these rolls with a smile on your face for your adoring family.

Argentinian Chimichurri Sauce #EatTheWorld

It’s time for this month’s Eat the World recipe challenge and we’re heading to Argentina!

As I was researching, I was surprised to find out that there are quite a few Italian influences in the cooking – yet with even more cheese than we add in the US!

As I kept looking, I was reminded that my favorite wine comes from Argentina: Malbec!  I sadly did not have any Malbec on hand when I made my recipe, because it would have been a great addition to the meal!

Beer Brats with Caramelized Onions

It’s National Beer Day!

Ok confession time.

I’m way more of a wine drinker than a beer drinker.

However, I do love to cook with beer, especially beers brats – I don’t make them any other way!

I shared my fantastic recipe for Bacon Wrapped Beer Brats a couple years ago – and they’re super delicious, but labor intensive and Hibs doesn’t like all the bacon flare ups on the grill.  So I typically simplify the process and make beer brats with just 4 ingredients!
