Bermuda Triangle Cocktail

This month’s Eat the World takes us to Bermuda!

Right away I think Bermuda Triangle, but I wanted to give this one a fair shot…

Then I realized (understandably) that Bermuda is known for its seafood-based cuisine…problematic when you don’t eat/cook seafood.

I started looking at desserts, and the main event was either rum cake or coconut cake…surprise! I don’t like coconut either and rum cake is a tough sell with kiddos.

So, I’m back to the Bermuda triangle!  I found a Bermuda triangle cocktail showcasing rum (definitely Caribbean) and a Bermuda ginger beer, and discovered that this particular cocktail is a version of a Dark 'n Stormy, another Bermudian must!

Hubs and I thoroughly enjoyed this taste of the tropics as the first winter storm of the season descended on us!

Check out all the wonderful Bermudian dishes prepared by fellow Eat the World members and share with #eattheworld.

Comments

  1. Nice! We have dark rum leftover from making the rum cake, so this cocktail is a good way to use it up ;) .

  2. It's been very mild here but is supposed to start cooling down a bit now. This cocktail and fire sound lovely.
