Who wouldn’t like a truffle with a little surprise inside?
These truffles are the ever popular and super delicious Oreo Truffles (or the Spiked version if you’re feeling especially boozy) with a bourbon cherry hiding inside.
Seriously, what’s not to love?
Cherry Bomb Truffles
1 recipe (prepared) Oreo truffle dough
Candy melts or chocolate
Remove cherries from the jar and pat dry.
Scoop out approximately 1 tablespoon of well chilled Oreo truffle dough and flatten if between your palms. Place 1 cherry into the center of the flattened disc and gently bring the dough together around the cherry. Roll gently between your palms to smooth out and close the truffle.
Chill rolled truffles in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the candy. Dip the truffles, one by one in to the melted candy, allowing the excess to drip off. Place onto a lined baking sheet and return to the refrigerator until hardened. Keep uneaten truffles refrigerated.
