Okay, okay, okay. We all know I looooove a latte.
I love a latte even more when it mimics a coffee shop latte and when it has protein powder, because then it counts as breakfast AND it’s delicious.
This latte is no exception. It’s brimming with all of my favorite fall flavors and bursting with vanilla (OMGosh – I am so in love with vanilla this fall!) I can’t get enough!
Salted Caramel Pumpkin Latte
Adapted from Inside BruCrew Life
1 ½ cups fat free milk
2 tbsp pumpkin puree
1 tbsp caramel ice cream topping
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Pinch of each cinnamon, ginger, cloves
Pinch of sea salt
1 tbsp instant coffee granules
3 tbsp vanilla protein powder (optional)
In a small saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin, caramel, vanilla, spices, and salt. Cook over medium heat until the milk begins to steam, removing from heat before it begins to bubble. Whisk in the instant coffee and protein powder (if using). Carefully blend the mixture with an immersion blender for 30 seconds, or until frothy. Pour in two a mug or two and add the whipped topping.
Makes 1 “Grande” latte
This is awesome, since just this weekend, I was trying to decide which I preferred - the Salted Caramel or the Pumpkin Spice latte at Starbuck's! Now I can have both for less calories AND less money!ReplyDelete
oh my goodness, just the ingredients make me feel faint! this flavor combination sounds amazing.ReplyDelete
This looks so good! I've never tried the one at Starbucks, but everyone raves about it, so I'm glad you figured out how to make it with some protein powder - so clever!ReplyDelete
Sounds AMAZING! I will have to make this...soon! Found ya by way of Earning my Cape's linky party.ReplyDelete
looks so good, AND the coffee cups are adorable!!! LOLReplyDelete
Yum! Oh my gosh this sounds fabulous! I love your coffee cup too. My mom has little cocktail napkins that are similar but they say "She liked her men like she liked her cocktails...neat, but with a twist" :-) Thanks for sharing at The Fun In Functional!ReplyDelete
