Peach Jalapeño Margarita

Today’s Sunday Funday is peaches.

You guys.  The only peaches I like is this one...

...with the accompanying song, of course.

I do actually keep canned peaches stocked in my pantry as Hubs and Dude like them.

Last time peaches was a theme, I cheated and used peach schnapps.  This time, I decided to use the actual peaches.  But since I don’t like peaches, I added jalapeño…and I’m not gonna lie, I added too much.  These tasted like burning - haha.

So I added more peaches and then I could taste the peach and I realized…I prefer the burning! Ha!

So this one wasn’t a huge success, but if you’d like to improve on a recipe, this is what I used, taking notes from my Mango Margarita and Cucumber Jalapeño recipes (both of which are better than this).

Sunday Funday

Peaches

Peach Jalapeño Margarita

2 ripe peaches, diced (about 1 cup)

2-3 slices jalapeño (3 = burning, fyi)

Juice from 1 small lime (about 2 tablespoons)

¼ cup orange juice

2 ounces tequila (omit for a virgin margarita/smoothie)

½ cup ice

Sea salt, chili powder, & black pepper to rim glasses, optional

Place the peaches, jalapeño, lime juice, orange juice, tequila, and ice into a blender and blend until smooth.

Meanwhile, run a lime along the edge of 2 glasses then dip in sea salt mixture to coat.

Pour the margarita mixture into the prepared cups and garnish with a lime.  Serve immediately.

  1. Too funny....I do like peaches and a little bit of heat so I may give these a try this summer.

  2. I am so curious about you not liking peaches. Do you like other stone fruit? Just wondering. I am not much of a margarita person, but Jake loves them. I will give this a try since we aren't peach-averse.

  4. I love peaches. But I understand about the jalapeno. I made some banh mi pickle this week with too much and it just tasted of fire. I'll be trying that one again without so much jalapeno. I'll go light on the fire if I make one of these too. Thanks for the tip!
