Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes

These fun Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes were made for my son’s Cub Scout Blue & Gold Banquet this year!

The theme was “Scouts are Cool” and there was a whole sundae bar set up for the kids (and parents!)

I couldn’t resist making ice cream sundae themed cupcakes to match the sundae bar!  I used my favorite chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, then I used a very large circle tip to add a big ice cream shaped blob of frosting to each cupcake.

I didn’t have any hot fudge on hand, so I made a simple ganache (equal parts warmed heavy cream & dark chocolate whisked until smooth) to drizzle over the top.  Lastly, I added sprinkles and cherries and the cupcakes were complete!

The cupcakes were a hit and delicious to boot!
