Hand Sandwiches

Most Halloweens, I make “Feet Loaf” as a gruesome meal for my family.  This year, I took a twist on feet loaf.  I shaped the meatloaf into a hand, then served it on toast as a meatloaf sandwich, or Hand Sandwich.

Fun, spooky, and tasty and will definitely have people giving you an eyebrow raise when you pack the leftovers in your lunch the next day.

Hand Sandwiches

Meatloaf Hands

1 tbsp olive oil

1 small zucchini, shredded

1 large carrot, shredded

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp salt

2 tsp worchestershire sauce

2 tbsp ketchup

1 lb ground beef

1 lb pork sausage

2 eggs

½ cup bread crumbs

Onion Slices

Sandwich

Bread Slices

Butter

Garlic Powder

Ketchup

Mix together meatloaf ingredients.  Preheat oven to 375 & line a baking sheet with foil.  Divide mixture into 6 potions.  Use a butter knife to mold into a hand shape.  Add onion slices as finger nails.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.

Butter bread on both sides and sprinkle with garlic powder.  Toast in a large skillet over medium-high heat.  Top the toast with hand loaves and add ketchup.
