Dude turned 18.
I’m a mom of an actual adult now and it’s so weird!
Dude went through a really long spell of not having an opinion about his birthday cake design (he just wanted chocolate cake with chocolate frosting). There were a couple years I chose his cake and a bunch of years when Spud chose the design. The last couple years he’s sorta had an opinion (“maybe something Xbox” and along those lines) and I was thrilled with that much.
This year, he was surprisingly decisive. “Mom, I want my cake to look like my truck”
And that’s how I ended up making a Ford F-150 cake! Dude and Spud both helped advise and while some proportions were not quite there, we were all pleased with the results, especially for a first try at truck cake!
