A couple months ago, Hubs and I were at a drinks and hors d'oeuvres event for a date night. One of the hors d'oeuvres vendors was a local pizza place that brought several of their more unique pizzas. Most of the tables had one of the vendors standing by to talk about their product or at least had signage, but this one did not. The pizza flavors rotated throughout the night and I’m guessing the vendor must’ve been back and forth with pizzas and I missed them every time!
Since the pizzas were cut in teeny tiny bite sized pieces, I was able to try several, but there was one I had to go back to try a second bite because it was so good and I needed to figure out exactly what I was tasting so I could recreate it at home. And let me tell you - this one is delicious and I was so happy to be able to eat a whole slice instead of a bite!
This has become such a favorite in my house that I even made it when we hosted a post-Christmas family get together and it ended up being a clear favorite among our guests as well!

Roasted Garlic Alfredo Pizza
Pizza crust recipe of choice (I used Italian Style)Roasted Garlic
1 head garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
Sauce
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup half & half
⅔ cup grated parmesan cheese
Freshly ground pepper
Toppings
8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
Fresh basil, sliced
Prepare dough according to recipe instructions.
To roast the garlic, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Chop the top end off the garlic (the root end will remain)
Drizzle the olive oil over the cut end of the garlic and massage it in. Wrap the garlic in aluminum foil and roast in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the cloves are soft. Set aside until cool enough to handle.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F and place a pizza stone in the oven to heat.
Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves from the head of garlic and mash.
Heat the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the mashed garlic and cook for a minute. Add the half & half and cook until steaming. Reduce heat and stir in the parmesan and season with pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted.
Roll or stretch the dough. Remove the pizza stone from the oven and place the dough on the hot stone.
Spread the sauce over the dough and sprinkle with mozzarella. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is browned.
If desired, broil for 1 minute to brown the cheese.
Remove from oven. Sprinkle with fresh basil, slice, and serve hot.
