This lovely little dessert is basically a love child between rice krispie treats and muddy buddies (puppy chow). They’re as easy as the rice krispie treats but as delicious as the puppy chow and so so good!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Balls
Adapted from Julie’s Eats & Treats
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
½ cup (1 stick) butter
1 (10 ounce) bag mini marshmallows
5 cups rice krispie cereal
Place the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute or until partially melted. Add the marshmallows and stir to mix.
Microwave at 30 second increments, stirring each time until the whole mixture is smooth and melted.
Stir in the rice krispies until completely coated. Scoop 3-4 tablespoon balls into a parchment or silicone lined baking mat. Set aside until cooled and firm. Store in an airtight container.
