April Fools Day "Donuts" & Fruit Dip

I love trying to fool my family on April Fools Day.

These days, everyone is pretty wise to my shenanigans, but they still love seeing what I come up with (and suggest their favorites).

Last year I added a few new ones to the repertoire, like these “donuts”

When I served them, the kids knew something was up, but they weren’t sure what exactly.  Little skeptics!

Turns out Hubs and I love fruit dip (slathered on apple slices to look like donuts) and the kids do not.  I’ll actually take it as a win that they prefer plain fruit instead of sugared up fruit! Ha!

Here’s a pic of the full “meal”.  We had a Nilla Wafer “Hamburger”, Cheese and Crackers “Pie”, Meatloaf “Cupcakes”, and the real winner this year - that cup of “juice”.

You guys - the real fool was the “juice” that no one realized was actually Jell-o until they tried to drink it! hahaha!
