Welcome to this month's Food n Flix Round up! Participants watched the Rom-com, PS I Love You! Thanks for joining in the fun!
Wendy from A Day in the Life on the Farm was the first to submit her recipe this month! Wendy made a delicious Spaghetti a la PS I Love You inspired by all of he take out containers strewn about Holly's apartment in the movie. Wendy adds:
I was disenchanted with the film. Not because it was a bad film but because I had the movie I wanted to see playing in my head the entire time I read the novel.
I'm with you Wendy, I was underwhelmed too! Good things a yummy pasta can come out of the deal!
I enjoyed P. S. I Love You, the book, but I'm going to say something that I rarely say: I vastly preferred the movie. There are marked differences between the book and the movie that almost make it a completely different story! For starters, movie Holly was much more likeable than book Holly.
So Happy you loved this pick, Camilla!
I found the film extremely sad but uplifting at the same time... I liked the film better than I liked the novel which is hardly ever the case.
Having also read the book and watch me movie, I have to agree - though I was very mixed about novel and movie (more on that later).
Finally, my own submission. I was inspired by a brief scene where Gerry was eating a corned beef sandwich from a take-out container.
That was all the inspiration I needed to create this tasty Corned Beef and Gouda Sandwich. And I have to admit, I wasn't a huge fan of book or movie - goes to show that sometimes even the host can pick a dud!
Please join us in April as we watch Peter Rabbit!
