Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders

Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders on Sweet Yeast Rolls will be hit of your SuperBowl Party

Who’s ready for the superbowl???

My team isn’t in it this year (and let’s be honest, I’m not really a huge football fan anyhow), but that’s not stopping me from having a game night…I mean commercials…I mean superbowl party!

That’s right, we’re having all of our non football friends over for a game night, with the game on in the background!  This will be our second year having this sort of party and it’s always a blast!

I’m planning on making some bacon cheddar buns and hummus for my party, but I also loving making Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders for get togethers!

For these yummy sliders, I made Spud’s copycat Texas Roadhouse Sweet Yeast Rolls and used those as my slider buns (so good!)  And just for fun, I topped them with some teeny tomatoes and pickles!  Happy gaming!

Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders

4 slices thick cut bacon

1 lb ground beef
¼ cup dried bread crumbs
1 egg
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp salt

8 small slices cheddar cheese
8 cherry tomatoes, optional
Small dill pickles, optional

Cut the bacon slices in half and cook in a large skillet until crisp.  Remove the bacon to a paper towel lined plate to drain.  Pour off all except 2 tablespoons of the bacon drippings.

While the bacon cooks, mix together the beef, bread crumbs, egg, Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt.

Divide the meat into 8 patties.  Roll each portion into a ball (approximately 2 inches in diameter), flatten, and add a divot into the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.

Cook for 10 minutes, flipping half way through, until the patties are cooked through.  Top with cheese during the last few minutes of cooking.

Place the cooked patties onto the split sweet rolls.  If desired, spear sliders with a toothpick topped with a cherry tomato and dill pickle.
