I love a fancy coffee from my local coffee shop, but I rarely justify the trip. Instead, I try to recreate my favorites at home!
This one takes simple ingredients to create a frothy iced latte, lightly sweetened with honey.
The coffee in the photo used to have a little more froth, but I spent about 10 minutes standing in my backyard, waiting for a honeybee to land on that purple coneflower so I could have a bee in my honey picture!
Here’s the bee posing for his closeup. I just love having wildflowers in my backyard!

Honey
Honey Almond Milk Iced Latte
1 ounce brewed espresso
2 teaspoons honey
½ cup almond milk
Ice Cubes
Place the espresso, honey, and almond milk into a blender. Blend until foamy.
Fill a glass with ice. Pour blended latte over ice and enjoy. Bonus points if you enjoy the honey latte with a bee.

Love that you waited on the bee! Fun fact you need to watch for---bumblebees will actually sleep on flowers. Saw it for myself. Thought the bee was dead but then googled it. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny, waiting on that bee! But it was well worth it. What a beautiful photo! And such a delicious drink.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Amy, this year our local council has been trying to plant flowers that attract bees. Love your idea of using honey instead of sugar. Anyway, find the coffee shop lattes too sweet.
ReplyDeleteIt was worth losing the foam. Great shot.
