Mario Kart Cupcakes

 This post first appeared on my other blog in 2016, but since I no longer maintain that one, I'm reposting some of my favorites here!

I’ve wanted to make Mario cake/cupcakes for ages.  But I’ve never had a reason to.

So I was super excited when I finally got an order for Mario Kart Cupcakes!!

The mom of the birthday boy ordered the characters.

So I made a board to look like the beach level and made all of the Mario Kart boosters out of fondant as cupcake toppers.

I absolutely love them!!!  Here’s the whole set!

Did you happen to notice the mystery boxes?

It’s a little hard to see, even in this photo, but they each have ribbons and bows – they’re birthday presents!
